Chipton-Ross is seeking an Accounting Assistant 3 for a contract/hybrid opportunity in Irving, TX.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of work experience.
o Experience in Account Payable or General Accounting.
o Intermediate skills in Excel and thorough knowledge of other Microsoft applications including Word and Outlook.
o Excellent customer experience/skill set and mindset.
o Strong attention to detail, accounting oriented knowledge base, and the ability to multi task, manage time, and prioritize.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking for an Accounting Assistant 3 to support our PO Invoice Indexing team in our Financial Shared Services organization. This role will utilize SAP S4, OpenText/Vendor Invoice Management system, Outlook, Excel, and other accounting tools to support Accounts Payable functions in accordance with GAAP, company policies, and government regulations.
Responsibilities:
o Timely and accurate processing of invoices using financial systems (SAP & OpenText).
o Review invoices to ensure all financial information is identified.
o Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills to help resolve invoice issues.
o Ability to operate independently.
o Monitor and work to perform departmental and individual processing metrics.
o Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
o Clearly and professionally communicate company policies and procedures.
o Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
o Support month end requirements.
o The ability to multitask and work independently to meet service level agreements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o SAP Experience.
o OpenText VIM Experience.
o Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or other related field.
o Experience in a financial shared services environment.
o Gov't contracting experience.
o Advance Excel Skills.
o Understanding of FAR, GAAP, and SOX requirements.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High school diploma/GED.
School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:
9/80 workweek. This position is HYBRID - 2 days on site are required - Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
