Are you ready to immerse yourself in the world of opulence, creativity, and elegance? We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Associate Technical Designer to join our in-house design team.

The Associate Technical Designer will play a key role in bridging the gap between design and production, ensuring that all garments are executed to the highest standards of quality and fit. This position requires a deep understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, pattern making, and technical specifications.

As a Luxury Fashion RTW Technical Designer, you will be at the forefront of our production endeavors. Your keen eye for detail will be pivotal in shaping our next iconic collections that’ll stand the test of time as forever classics that are strikingly modern at the same time.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with the design team to translate design concepts into technical specifications and patterns.
• Develop and finalize technical flats, tech packs, and garment measurements for production.
• Work closely with sample makers to ensure accurate prototype creation.
• Conduct fit sessions for prototype samples, taking detailed notes, and writing up detailed comments and adjustments for garment makers to ensure the perfect fit.
• Prepare size grading charts for bulk production.
• Prepare QC (quality control) and labeling guides for bulk production.
• Create and manage detailed documentation for garment construction and fabric requirements.
• Troubleshoot any production issues, providing technical solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with overseas factories and suppliers to ensure proper execution of technical details.

SKILLS NEEDED:

• Experience with women's RTW technical fashion design.
• Experience with fitting and prototype development.
• Knowledge of pattern making, fitting, size grading and working with suppliers around the world.
• Strong understanding of global manufacturing and quality control processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Design or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a technical design role within the fashion industry (3-5 years).
• In-depth knowledge of textiles, garment construction, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and 3D design software. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A track record of successfully launching luxury fashion collections.
• Fluency in English.
• Open-minded and strong ability to constructively process feedback.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
