Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a wide variety of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
• Decorate and present baked items to ensure appealing displays.
• Monitor inventory levels for baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with the deli and grocery teams to promote baked goods and pairings.
• Engage with customers, providing samples and recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, including tools and equipment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a baker or in a related food industry role is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques and basic recipes.
• Creativity in designing and decorating baked products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
