Auto Body Technician
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Auto Body Technician with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience for a company based in Houston, Texas (Southwest). This role focuses on high-quality work, safety standards, and clear communication in a professional setting. The successful candidate will excel in diagnosing repair needs, working effectively within a team, and staying updated on industry standards, having the opportunity to work with luxury vehicles such as McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Lucid and Rivian.
Pay Rate
$25.00 - $30.00 per flag hour (dependent on credentials)
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
Auto Body Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Inspect vehicles and provide detailed repair requirements for autobody repairs.
• Repair or replace body panels following OEM procedures, maintaining on-time performance.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by filing, grinding, and sanding using both power and hand tools.
• Operate a frame machine is preferred.
• Analyze and interpret measuring data accurately.
• Participate in ongoing training and be willing to travel nationwide and to the UK for training sessions.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure high-quality and timely repairs.
Auto Body Technician Qualifications and Requirements
• Hight School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 4 years of autobody repair experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must have own tools.
• I-CAR Certification preferred; ASE Certification is a plus.
• Steel and aluminum welding certifications preferred.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and skill improvement.
• A team player mindset, with dedication to providing excellent service.
