Job Title: Cable/Fiber Technician
Location: Austin, TX 78756
Position Type: Temporary (minimum of 1 month) with potential for direct hire
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 or 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18 to $24 per hour; Based on Experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Cable/Fiber Technicians to join our team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in cable and fiber installations and troubleshooting, along with the ability to operate a Fluke tester proficiently. This position offers an immediate start as early as January 27th and provides the potential for a direct hire after the initial temporary period.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, test, and troubleshoot cable and fiber systems.
Operate Fluke testers to ensure the quality and integrity of network systems.
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
Follow safety protocols and industry standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
Proven 1+ year of experience as a Cable/Fiber Technician.
Proficiency in operating Fluke testers.
Strong understanding of cable and fiber installations and maintenance.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
