The Carrier Sales Manager will build strategic relationships with best-in-class partner carriers, while meeting monthly and quarterly profitability goals. This role requires being a team player as the position will work closely with Sales, Relationship Managers, Customer Service, and Operations. The Carrier Sales Manager will negotiate carrier rates (both spot and contracted) to optimize profits, work with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to manage pickup/delivery schedules that meet contractual SLAs and resolve freight discrepancies in a timely manner. This role will problem-solve over the phone with drivers and dispatchers, track shipments of loads booked, and vet carriers through FMCSA. The Carrier Sales Manager will be responsible for carrier setups, including DocuWare compliance. To ensure success as a Carrier Sales Manager, you will maintain current knowledge of the freight market and be effective at maintaining, developing, and managing carrier relationships. You will be customer-oriented and have the ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role will build and maintain strong, long-lasting carrier relationships.
