Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for aviation and a commitment to teaching and mentoring students of varying skill levels. The CFI will conduct flight training in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards, focusing on building pilot proficiency, safety awareness, and situational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct ground and flight instruction for students pursuing various pilot certifications (Private, Instrument, Commercial, etc.).
- Develop personalized training plans tailored to each student's needs, skill level, and progress.
- Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout all training activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, flight logs, and training hours, documenting any incidents or areas for improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback and progress assessments to students to facilitate learning and skill development.
- Assist in the development and improvement of training materials and programs.
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and team-building activities.
- Perform pre-flight inspections and post-flight debriefings while ensuring the overall safety and readiness of training aircraft.
- Support students in their preparation for written exams and check rides.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate; CFI Instrument (CFII) and/or multi-engine instructor ratings (MEI) are a plus.
- Minimum [X] flight hours as a pilot-in-command (PIC), including [Y] h ours of dual instruction given.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and flight safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner.
- Previous teaching or training experience is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
