**Job Title: Commercial Properties Bookkeeper**

**Location:** Corporate Offices near Exit 8 of the New Jersey Turnpike

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Commercial Properties Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team! **Key Responsibilities:**

- Accurately record transactions in general ledger accounts by analyzing invoices.
- Review commercial leases and manage monthly billing for tenants in accordance with lease terms.
- Proactively follow up to obtain tenants' certificates of insurance.
- Schedule and prepare checks for vendor payments.
- Process tenant payments and monitor accounts for any delinquencies.
- Communicate effectively with tenants, utility companies, vendors, and executive staff to ensure the smooth operation of multiple commercial properties.
- Maintain and enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Organize and manage the accounting filing system.
- Prepare journal entries, including those for prepaid and accrued expenses.
- Assist with various ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.

**Qualifications:**

- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (required).
- Experience in the commercial property or real estate development industries is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Yardi Voyager or similar property management software is highly desirable.
- Experience working with commercial tenants, leases, correspondence, and common area maintenance charges & reconciliation is a significant advantage.
- While prior professional accounting experience is beneficial, candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively will also be considered.
- Must be punctual, responsible, dependable, and reliable.
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- A collaborative spirit and willingness to support team members when needed.
