AdeptHR is Hiring for Composite Manufacturing Finishers!

Starting pay is $30 per hour + overtime opportunities. This is a full time, first shift shift (7:300AM-3:30PM), for a project that runs until Mid-February.

Here is what your day to day will entail:

Final surface finishing steps on composite parts, including sanding, polishing, trimming, and inspecting to ensure a high-quality, aesthetically pleasing, and structurally sound product, adhering to detailed specifications and quality standards, often utilizing hand tools and specialized equipment within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surface Finishing:

• Perform precise sanding operations to achieve desired surface smoothness and tolerances on composite parts. 

• Utilize different grits of sandpaper and polishing compounds to achieve the required finish. 

• Apply specialized polishing techniques to create high-gloss surfaces where needed. 

• Trimming and Fitting:

• Accurately trim and fit composite parts using hand tools and power tools to meet engineering drawings and specifications. 

• Remove excess material and ensure proper alignment of components. 

• Quality Inspection:

• Conduct thorough visual inspections of finished parts for defects like surface imperfections, blemishes, and dimensional discrepancies. 

• Utilize measuring tools to verify compliance with quality standards. 

• Identify and report any issues to production personnel for corrective action. 

• Material Handling:

• Properly handle and store composite materials to prevent damage. 

• Follow safety procedures when working with chemicals and adhesives used in the finishing process. 

• Documentation:

• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including part numbers, inspection results, and materials used. 

Requirements

• Previous experience in Composite manufacturing, Carpentry specifically in finishing, or level 4 or 5 drywall
• Comfortable working with hand tools
• Comfortable with PPE (such as safety glasses and a dust mask) as it is a requirement for the position
• Able to work on sanding and finishing big surfaces
• Comfortable with completing other related tasks to the position such as assistance with assembly and cleaning up
