• Location: Roadway job ( Hugh Carey Tunnel ), Manhattan Plaza

We are looking for an inspector with NICET Level II or III certification, MTA Project experience for an MTA tunnel project.



Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily field inspections to ensure work is completed by project plans, specifications, and applicable standards
• Prepare daily inspection reports, quantity tracking, and photographic documentation of work performed.
• Verify contractor compliance with safety regulations and environmental controls.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and state agency representatives to resolve field issues and maintain schedule adherence.
• Participate in progress meetings and provide input on field conditions and construction activities.
• Ensure proper implementation of erosion and sediment control measures.
• Review and verify contractor submittals and materials delivered to the site.

Required Qualifications and Qualities:

• NICET Level II or III certification.
• OSHA 30 certified.
• Minimum of 5 years of field inspection experience on site civil work, preferably involving DOT projects.
• Strong knowledge of MTA specifications and standards .
• Experience with multi-scope infrastructure projects, including Tunnels , trailways, drainage systems, and pedestrian structures .
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to generate clear, concise field reports.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, construction management software).
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to and within the project site as required.
