WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

This position is part of the Division of Alaska State Troopers and functions as the primary evidence custodian for the Bethel, Aniak, Saint Mary's, Emmonak, and Hooper Bay posts. In this role, you will provide technical support to commissioned personnel in the area of property and evidence management by: receiving and logging evidence, ensuring propery handling and storage of evidence, quality control to include maintaining chain-of-custody, preparing evidece and necessary documentation to be sent to federal and state laboratories, prepariong evidece for court, and overseeing retention or disposal of evidence as appropriate. This position also provides secondary administrative support to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Enforcement Area.

BACKGROUND CHECK  

This position requires the incumbent to submit to a fingerprint based criminal history background check. Due to the sensitive nature of this position, and required access to APSIN, an applicant with criminal convictions will not move forward in the selection process.
