Job Description

Remote Customer Service Representative (Healthcare Billing)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping patients manage their medical bills by providing excellent service and facilitating payment arrangements. You'll connect with patients over the phone in a fast-paced environment, working to resolve account balances and ensure they are able to make timely payments.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable using technology and easily adaptable to learning new systems and processes in a virtual work setting.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional service to patients, representing the needs and values of the organization
Initiate phone calls with patients to assist in the payment of medical bills
Communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically with patients, ensuring they understand the payment process
Review patient accounts and document interactions thoroughly and accurately
Negotiate reasonable payment plans and amounts based on patient circumstances
Assist patients in setting up payments via check, credit card, or electronic transfer
Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and a seamless experience for patients
Meet or exceed established performance goals and targets
Collaborate closely with team leads and management to resolve issues and ensure patient satisfaction
Perform any other duties as required by management to ensure the success of the team and patient satisfaction
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Strong focus on customer service and client satisfaction
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity in all interactions
Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively with others
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software systems quickly
Education & Experience:
Previous customer service experience preferred
Experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management is a plus
High school diploma or GED required
Some college coursework is preferred, but not mandatory
Employment Type: Contractor
Salary: $ 18.00 25.00 Per Hour
