We are seeking a mid-level Data Center Engineer to support infrastructure operations, project execution, and technical coordination within a data center environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience reviewing technical documentation, and the ability to collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure reliability, accuracy, and proper execution of data center activities.
Key Responsibilities Data Center Operations & Technical SupportSupport ongoing data center infrastructure activities including installations, upgrades, monitoring, and maintenance.
Analyze and update project-related technical data to ensure accurate execution of data center tasks.
Assist in preparing technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for stakeholders.
Work within a project controls environment to support planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
Communicate technical impacts and project updates to engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Review and interpret architectural, engineering, and technical drawings relevant to data center layouts, equipment placement, and infrastructure designs.
Support look-ahead planning and progress reporting for ongoing data center initiatives.
Monitor data center performance metrics and provide timely issue escalation.
Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and changes.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors to support data center operations.
Communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of project stakeholders.
Work collaboratively in a team-oriented engineering and operations environment.
Minimum 5 years of technical or engineering experience , ideally supporting infrastructure, construction, or data center projects.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative project environment .
Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings .
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills .
Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to work onsite in the Jackson, MS area (or willingness to relocate).
Must have a valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to read and write fluently in English.
Experience supporting data center projects or infrastructure environments .
Industry certifications or technical training related to IT, engineering, or data centers.
Exposure to schedule tracking, project controls, or progress reporting tools.
