Mainstay Medical is a medical device company focused on marketing an innovative implantable neurostimulation system, ReActiv8®, for people with disabling chronic mechanical Low Back Pain. The Role:

This position works with a small team of marketing professionals to execute commercial marketing strategies for a breakthrough medical therapy in Global Commercial (U.S.A, Australia, United Kingdom, and Europe) businesses through the appropriate channels to maximize awareness, education, and market share. This includes working as both a designer and content creator to assist in aligning messaging, patient, practice, and physician collateral, activities, initiatives, and global marketing programs to maximize adoption of the therapy. The role requires a blend of content creation skills including intermediate professional graphic design acumen, strong copywriting and communication sensibility, and willingness to learn project management skills. This role will be exposed to working on a myriad of content projects including but not limited to the layout of brochures, mailers, newsletters, one-pagers, booklets, presentations, banners, etc. in addition to drafting/reviewing content for projects such as podcast episodes, video scripts, social posts, website and landing pages, blog posts and others. The ideal candidate understands the push and pull of the creative process and is motivated to hone skills useful in a career path focused on content creation and creative direction.

Position Responsibilities:

Day-to-Day Job Functions:

  • Assist with the creation and/or improvement of messaging, collateral, communication, and education materials for all audiences, including professional layout and graphic design work in InDesign as demonstrated in the candidate's portfolio.
  • Execute the creation of core sales support materials including collateral and pitch book templates, brochures, and marketing collateral in InDesign.
  • Execute creation of marketing materials from start to finish, facilitating collaboration with stakeholders and following correct internal processes.
  • Participate in collaboration with cross functional teams to execute commercial marketing needs across the organization.
  • Own the organization of their working files and drafts on SharePoint.
  • Assist with the execution of Global Commercial marketing strategy for ReActiv8.
  • Participate in collaboration with business and channel marketing partners to refine our value proposition and messaging platform to effectively influence prospects to drive consideration.
  • Create content and materials for market/segments with different target audiences and drivers.
  • Strictly adhere to workflow management and quality control methods required to produce quality work products.

Core Competencies:

  • Proven experience in graphic design, particularly layout, and copywriting, ideally within a similar role or as a freelancer.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an ability to create clear and compelling content.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of experience, including design work and written content, in collateral such as one-pagers, sales slicks, mailers, brochures, pitchbooks, newsletters, email campaigns (willingness to learn to use HubSpot), header graphics, social posts, landing pages, booklets, conference banners, digital ads and other similar materials.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other design software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to develop strong organizational and project management skills along with a keen eye for great copy and impactful design.
  • Creative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, design, communication, English or journalism preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design and content writing as demonstrated by the candidate's portfolio.
  • Polished and professional with outstanding communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Competence as a technical copy writer with an eye for layout to produce great emails, brochures, mailers, sales sheets and landing pages. Willingness to learn about medical and spine procedures.
  • A team player, who can navigate throughout the organization while building solid relationships in order to get work done efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to collaborate and execute on projects with minimal oversight, a strong attention to detail, a high level of professionalism and with appropriate timeliness.
  • Technologically savvy, with a hands-on approach to learning new digital solutions.
  • Willingness to collaborate with multiple diverse teams/individuals.

The salary range for this position is $68,000 to $86,000/year; however, base pay offered will take into account a range of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package includes a range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
