The Director, Inflight Operations Support (IOS) is responsible for all safety and security coordination on behalf of the fight service organization. This role will lead the team that handles and coordinates all crisis management responses, including Flight Attendant injuries both domestic and international either at or out of base, flight emergencies, and international and domestic threats, as well as work closely with security operations leaders. 

What you'll do

•    Develops strategy for Inflight operational resiliency with internal and external stakeholders
•    Leads departmental and base responses for operational incidents 24/7/365
•    Manages compliance with FAA, DOT, and OSHA regulations and ensures policies and procedures meet or exceed IOSA, Department of Defense, and OneWorld standards
•    Partners closely with Onboard Dining & Service, Safety, Security and Environmental, Flight Operations, Tech Ops, Airport Customer Care, Legal, and APFA on operational, procedural, and team member safety issues
•    Responsible for leadership and overseeing incident handling and support
•    Develops and executes contingency planning and recovery operations for inflight 
•    Drives process improvement within the organization and through collaboration with other departments
•    Leverages resources to support the operation and Flight Attendants programs such as EAP, Drug and Alcohol, Safety and Security.

All you'll need for success
-Demonstrates the highest standards of personal ethics and integrity
-Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; Advanced degree preferred
-7+ years of Inflight or customer care leadership experience, including experience working with a contract labor group and knowledge of the flight attendant collective bargaining agreement, in addition to leading both regulatory and customer standards, policies, and procedures
-Proficiency with SABRE, DECS, and RES (preferred)
-Ability to be an action-oriented and results-driven leader, with a natural aptitude for engaging employees across multiple workgroups
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and complex environment
-Ability to influence others through outstanding interpersonal skills
-Ability to think strategically, negotiate skillfully, digest complex details, and use sound judgment and initiative in making decisions
-Ability to coach, mentor, and serve as a role model for all team members
-Excellent problem solving and critical thinking ability
-Excellent project planning and organizational skills, with ability to effectively and simultaneously manage multiple large projects within tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
