At Vertical Entertainment, we're passionate about bringing bold, independent films to audiences everywhere and we're seeking a Director of Content Delivery & Operations to join our team. The Director of Delivery & Content Operations will oversee a team of two and report to the EVP of Distribution. The position will require a technologically savvy and organized team player with extensive experience managing film deliverables. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain and foster vendor relationships throughout the industry. A solution-oriented approach to problem solving amidst competing priorities and deadlines will be key to success in this position.

Key Activities:

Delivery

  • Negotiate incoming physical and legal delivery items with producers, sales agents, and post supervisors to ensure materials are received for release
  • Monitor outgoing delivery of QC approved and finalized delivery packages to all partner accounts
  • Manage vendors for timely QCs, accessibility file creation, and outgoing partner deliveries
  • Negotiate bonded delivery items as needed
  • Review spec sheets and consult on plans and workflows for delivery with partners and post supervisors
  • Log and file all incoming deliverables and track and pursue outstanding items
  • Partner with internal legal to track legal deliverables and review status
  • Update finance/legal team as to status of delivery and timing of payments tied to delivery
  • Manage internal delivery ingest tracker and outgoing delivery tracker for each film
  • Deliver QC-approved materials to all necessary labs and creative vendors
  • Manage the process of preparing features for theatrical distribution, including localization and accessibility files

Quality Control

  • Oversee QC process of all physical delivery, theatrical deliverables, home entertainment deliverables, audio deliverables, archive and auxiliary feature assets
  • Screen and sign off on all final DCPs for theatrical release
  • Review QC reports and evaluate fixes

Miscellaneous

  • Manage anti-piracy efforts with third party vendor
  • Oversee asset deliveries for Awards Submissions
  • Oversee one internal team member's work and collaborate and manage (as needed) external business partners including one long term consultant

Who You Are

  • 6+ years of experience within film delivery and post-production required
  • Experience managing the oversight of 10+ active deliveries
  • Organized and extremely detailed oriented
  • Demonstrable ability to create systems, processes and workflows for efficiency
  • Experience with digital asset management systems
  • Motivated self-starter skilled in multitasking, problem solving and time management
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills
  • Flexible, resourceful, kind
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Premiere, Media Encoder, Aspera, Citrix ShareFile, Dropbox or Box, Avid, Davinci Resolve, Media Shuttle a plus
