Overview:

The Director of Patient Access will lead initiatives to optimize front-end revenue cycle operations, focusing on patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling. This role involves improving operational efficiencies, patient experience, and revenue integrity, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead patient access strategy and consulting, focusing on improving registration, scheduling, and financial counseling.
  • Implement best practices to optimize workflows, minimize denials, and enhance pre-service collections.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and create actionable improvement strategies.
  • Lead project teams and manage timelines, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful implementation of patient access solutions.
  • Establish performance metrics and provide ongoing support to ensure sustained improvements.
  • Build trusted relationships with client executives and revenue cycle leaders.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in project or program management, with extensive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management (patient access).
  • 5-7+ years of healthcare consulting experience in a director or leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in patient access workflows, data analysis, and healthcare technologies.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
