Summary Trinity's Tiny Treasures Preschool is a small non-profit organization in Waupaca, WI. Our goal is to provide a positive Preschool experience for three and four year-old children in the Waupaca area.
Trinity?s Tiny Treasures Preschool, Inc. is a full day preschool and daycare for children three and four years old. The program generally follows the Waupaca School District Calendar, being offered from early September through early June. We are looking to hire experienced Preschool Assistant Teachers to provide a warm, educational, Christian based experience for some of the youngest children in our community.
Teacher assistants work under the guidance of a licensed teacher to help perform many classroom tasks, ranging from organizing classroom materials to setting up equipment that teachers will use to carry out lessons. Leading a craft or story time may also be a requirement.
? This is a part time position for 20 to 25 hours per week. Generally the position would be Tuesday through Thursday, starting at 11:00 am to 4:00 pm with periodic help needed on Mondays and Fridays over lunch time.
Duties - Provide support and reinforcement for teacher and lessons
- Engage with young children in a one on one or small group setting
- Reinforce instruction and lesson directions for activities organized by lead teacher
- Foster a positive and healthy learning environment based on Christian values
- Ensure the classroom is kept in a clean and safe condition at all times
- Set up materials and equipment to help teachers prepare lessons
- Encourage creative thinking and learning
- Help teacher with attendance, grading, and other administrative tasks
- Interact with Director and Lead Teacher in a positive and professional manner
- Assist with Parent Open House and Family Night events, approximately two per year
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
- Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements - Certification in Early Education. Certification can be completed after starting position.
- Prior experience working in Child Care
- Up to date immunizations and general physical
- Must pass a background check
- Patient and supportive approach to the learning process
- Enthusiastic and encouraging
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand and move around for long hours at a time
