Summary

Olympic View Friends is a childcare and learning center that has been operating in the NE Tacoma area since 1969. We are licensed for 75 children and employ 19 staff. We currently have a Teacher's Assistant/Aide position available to add to our team. Duties

• Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation of children.
• Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
• Actively participate in a healthy work environment recognizing and valuing our differences with dignity and respect.
• Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
• Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
• Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
• High energy.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs
• MMR Immunization
• An understanding of child development.
• TB test results
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must clear full background check
