Expense Analyst Lead Location Knoxville, TN : Your future team Finance professionals play a critical role in supporting the demands of multiple constituents, including AIG executives, regulators, and stakeholders, while staying at the forefront of accounting and reporting requirements and compliance strategies. The Finance team includes Treasury and Capital Markets; Actuarial and Value Management; Finance Operations; and the Enterprise Finance Transformation program. The General Operating Expenses CoE has oversight of the forecasting, reporting and analytics of AIG's general operating expenses and will work closely with finance personnel across AIG's businesses and functions, as well as functional leadership, to support internal management reporting and analytics. AIG GOE COE is primarily based in the U.S. and India. This role is one of principle leads of the newly formed Compensation & Benefits CoE FP&A Reporting and Analytics group Your contribution at AIG As a Leader, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and/or ability to oversee programs and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset. Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes. Establish and manage monthly/quarterly/annual Headcount, Compensation, and Benefits reporting and analytical processes Review/challenge analytics and identify cost efficiency actions Support Corporate FP&A by providing materials/commentary to support earnings calls, rating agency reviews, board meetings, and ELT sessions Support Business Partners by providing functional reports, commentary, and analytics for ELT functional reviews Assist with driving the creation and communication of the GOE calendar for the FP&A team Develop and maintain data accuracy process and controls Lead ad hoc analytical exercises sponsored by CFOs and business leaders as required Develop pro forma data models and financials to support AIG future state scenarios Work closely with senior finance leaders on budget target models and impacts Assist FP&A Director in linking functional expenses to post-allocated results What we are looking for 7+ years of experience in expense management; experience in financial services industry a plus Ability to communicate complex ideas to senior business leaders, and a desire to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Ability to integrate strategic and operational information into quantitative analysis [and succeed with time, resource and information constraints] Degree in accounting or finance field preferred but not required Strong attention to detail, organization and analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Highly motivated, self-starter and ability to multi-task Team player with good problem-solving skills who is willing to learn Bachelor's degree with a major in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Accounting); advanced degree or CPA a plus The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and have experience with quantitative and strategic analysis. #LI-CS3 A look at our Benefits We're proud to offer a range of employee benefits and resources that help you protect what matters most - your health care, savings, financial protection and wellbeing.
