Job Summary: The Finish Dozer/Blader Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining finish dozers and finish blades to perform precise grading and leveling tasks on oilfield sites. This role ensures that surfaces are prepared to the exact specifications required for drilling operations, pipeline installation, and other oilfield infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment and a strong understanding of grading and finishing techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Heavy Equipment Operation: Proven experience operating finish dozers and finish blades, including proficiency with controls, maneuvering, and making precise adjustments.
Grading and Leveling Techniques: Strong understanding of grading, leveling, and finishing techniques to ensure surfaces meet project specifications.
Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret grading plans, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Experience with routine maintenance and minor repairs of heavy equipment, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and industry regulations, with a demonstrated ability to maintain a safe working environment.
Physical Stamina: Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks and operate heavy machinery for extended periods, often in varying weather conditions.
Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members, site managers, and other stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and adjust operations as needed based on site conditions and project requirements.

Advanced Certifications: Additional certifications or training related to heavy equipment operation, such as specialized courses or endorsements for finish dozers and blades.
Oilfield Experience: Previous experience working in the oilfield or gas industry, with familiarity in the specific requirements and challenges of such environments.
Surveying Knowledge: Basic knowledge of surveying principles and equipment to assist with precise grading and alignment tasks.
