Vallata (for lunch service) is a fast-casual dining concept offering a quick, but elevated dining experience with a focus on delicious sandwiches, pasta, and fresh salads. Our restaurant has an open kitchen, allowing our guests to witness the culinary process while enjoying a relaxed, counter-service atmosphere. Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Runner to join our team. As a Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an excellent dining experience by promptly delivering orders from the kitchen to the customer. You’ll work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring smooth communication and quick, accurate order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering great service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quickly and accurately deliver orders from the open kitchen to customers at the counter.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including keeping the service area tidy.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down stations at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Ensure that all orders are complete, correct, and served at the proper temperature.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.
• Assist with light food prep or dishwashing when needed, especially during high-volume periods.
• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that guests are satisfied with their orders.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to relay any special requests or order adjustments.
• Ensure that the front of the restaurant is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary items (e.g., napkins, condiments, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a fast-casual or restaurant setting preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Availability for lunch shifts, including weekends, is preferred.
