The Opportunity:

Your role at Sephora: The Risk & Investigative Specialist’s will be a key member in providing support to the Risk & Fraud Team at Sephora Corporate. You will have an investigative mind set, think analytically and outside the box and must be able to communicate effectively to the team and upper management. As a Fraud Specialist, you will be reporting to the Sr Manager Investigative Strategy & Fraud.

 

In addition you will...

  • Run assigned investigative reporting and providing full investigative detail to appropriate leader
  • Ability to run social media investigations and provide in-depth reporting on activity of subjects
  • Review team processes, identify efficiency opportunities, and partner with leadership on how to improve
  • In-depth review of Sephora systems and providing gap analysis where losses could occur.
  • Analyze data from various source systems such as chargebacks, appeasements, returns, and other to prevent future risk and loss.
  • Analyze and summarize large, complex, sensitive data using an array of systems and methodologies to identify trends indicative of fraud.
  • Provide substantive analysis on fraud, abuse, and other loss causing activities, providing recommendations to leadership on potential solutions or policy enhancements.
  • Work with law enforcement agencies as needed to comply with subpoenas by supplying requested information, reports, and documentation.
  • Summarize key findings and recommend anti-fraud processes and system enhancements.
  • Execute ad-hoc projects and adhere to agreed upon deadlines as needed.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for retail systems that support fraud & theft prevention such as CCTV

 

 

We'd love to hear from you if you have...

  • 2-5 years of experience in a call center environment, e-commerce or banking industry
  • Experience in database querying or interpreting large datasets (data model, SQL, R)
  • Previous experience in e-Commerce is a plus or a similar online fraud role is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and make complex investigative decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to review and suggest enhancements/revisions policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of team and department leadership when identifying and reporting trends.
  • Punctuality and schedule adherence is essential.
  • Must be flexible and be ready to work in a dynamic shift environment – weekends, holiday and evening shifts may be required.
  • Vacation blackout period applies during the holiday season.
  • Motivated self-starter and comfortable taking initiative on assigned tasks.
  • Creative problem solver – comfortable sharing new ideas with peers and management.

 

The target hourly pay for this position is $30.77 - $34.39 per hour. The actual hourly pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the individual applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
