Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the First Ward neighborhood of Uptown Charlotte in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their Three children: a 1-year-old (boy), a 3-year-old (girl), and a 5-year-old (girl). The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm and Friday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm, guaranteeing 45 hours (5 overtime hours would be paid each week).
The best nanny for this family would be calm, proactive, organized, and experienced with infants and toddlers. The family is looking for a nanny knowledgeable in early childhood development and milestones, and they value an educational approach to caring for children. The nanny should be able to provide nurturing and loving care to the children daily. The family is looking for a nanny who will be able to meet their children’s daily needs and be creative in coming up with fun activities to do with them inside and outside of the home. These activities would include, but are not limited to, reading to the children, playing with toys, doing developmental and sensory activities, arts and crafts, taking walks, outings, and more. The family encourages the nanny to take the children on fun outings since they live uptown and many activities are within walking distance (such as parks, splash pads, Discovery Place, and Imaginon).
The Nanny will be responsible for school pick-ups for the oldest two children at noon. The oldest daughter will be in school Monday - Friday, and the middle child will be in school Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The family is looking for a long-term nanny that will grow with their family and become an extended family member over time.
Nanny Responsibilities Include:
Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children
Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level
Playing with the children both inside and outside the home
Doing hands-on learning activities with the children
Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):
Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly
Children’s meal prep
Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children
Emptying diaper pail
Pets - The family has two dogs that may need to be let out occasionally. The family has a daily dog walker, so responsibilities for the nanny are limited. The nanny should be comfortable with a dog in the home and not allergic to dogs.
Qualifications:
Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience
Have a college degree or equivalent experience
Have a professional resume

Pass a national background check, including a driving record check
Have a valid driver’s license
Have safe and reliable transportation (it would be preferred that the nanny has a vehicle that can accommodate 3 car seats)

CPR and First Aid Certified
The nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

Legal pay is offered at $28.00 - $33.00 an hour, negotiable depending on experience
