Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I, CCHCS, Human Resources (HR), Employment and Outreach, Workforce Development Unit, the Graphic Design Analyst performs the more complex design work in the creation and development of recruitment marketing materials to support CCHCS’ efforts to recruit and  retain quality health care professionals and ancillary staff.

This position is located in Human Resources (HR), which delivers innovative programs and services that attract, cultivate, and serve a diverse, highly-qualified workforce. California Correctional Health Care Services’ HR professionals provide outstanding customer service, provide tools and resources for job development and advancement, and ensure fairness and accuracy in all aspects of HR.

Working Conditions

CCHCS Headquarters HR office, Elk Grove 

Located less than 30 minutes from Sacramento and Lodi, the progressive city of Elk Grove offers a great mix of newly developed housing, business projects, and recreational opportunities. You will enjoy working at our campus-style office complex with free parking, and perhaps even call Elk Grove home.

The position(s) is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Candidates new to CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to appointment followed by department annual TB testing/evaluation thereafter.

• Experience in graphic design, marketing, and/or recruiting
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience in creating animation for social media marketing efforts

DESIGN PORTFOLIO

APPLICATIONS RECEIVED WITHOUT A DESIGN PORTFOLIO WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. NOTE : Resumes, cover letters, and other materials without a link to a portfolio will not be accepted in place of the required portfolio.

Applicants must provide a link to their portfolio with 5-7 design samples via their resume, cover letter, or other documentation OR  a separate  PDF. Design samples to be included should be digital graphic design, graphic design for print, and graphic design for branding.
