Overview

IGT is seeking a Graphic Design intern with print, digital, and presentation design experience and skills to join our Retail Sales and Execution team. This part-time, paid internship is a remote position, with frequent virtual check-ins. This position will allow for a hands-on experience developing and creating visual designs and layouts for PowerPoint, print, and digital mediums. The Product Marketing and Training Graphic Design intern will work with the Retail Sales and Execution team to develop effective marketing collateral and assist with day-to-day workflow, and will assist in daily and long-term marketing activities including:

  • Developing marketing materials and training collateral
  • Enhancing client facing content, graphics and assets for presentations and proposals
  • Creating, formatting, and editing presentations and marketing materials for both external and internal clients
  • Creating vector designs and logos
  • Activities related to product launch

As a result, the Product Marketing and Training Design intern will gain:

Responsibilities

As a Product Marketing and Training Graphic Design intern at IGT, you will be Responsible for helping to create training and marketing collateral that meet business, brand, and market requirements under the guidance of the Retail Sales and Training Manager. The position requires excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, strong design skills, and the ability to work in a time-sensitive environment, including:

  • Creating and/or manipulating graphic elements using design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign for use in client-facing and internal marketing communications efforts
  • Producing executive level PowerPoint presentations, utilizing advanced layout design, edits, animations, and production activities withing established brand guidelines.
  • Creating visual designs that communicate ideas or messages effectively using a variety of methods such as color, typography, imagery, and layout.
  • Developing layouts and arrange charts, graphs, slides, and visual aids requiring ingenuity and originality in the presentation of data.
  • Communicating with clients to determine needs and preferences regarding design concepts, and acceptable output.
  • Responding to multiple last minute creative directions and multiple rounds of edits
  • Ensuring files are properly archived.

  • Must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must be enrolled in a degree program (undergraduate or graduate) at the start of the internship program
  • Able to work part-time (12+ hours/week) during the Spring semester, with possible extension to full-time internship during the summer (37.5 hours/week)

Qualifications

  • Creative and motivated student with both communications and design experience
  • Strong design skills with a focus on typography, clear grasp of composition and layout, and strong sense of contemporary, clean design aesthetic
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (preferred advanced presentation software skills, specifically in PowerPoint)
  • Experienced in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator)
  • Proficient in using both a PC and a Mac
  • Ability to take feedback and direction and openness for continual improvement.
  • Strong work ethic: ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to juggle both short-term projects and daily tasks that need immediate attention.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to be flexible and shift gears quickly.
