Job Classification: Full Time | Exempt.

Location: In-Office – Rockville, Maryland.

Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 annually.

Position Summary:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visually compelling and strategically aligned materials that support the agency and its clients across print, digital, and event platforms. This role involves developing brand identities, designing marketing collateral, producing digital content, and translating complex ideas into clear visual formats. The ideal candidate is highly creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and a passion for visual storytelling. Success in this role requires adaptability, innovation, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Development: Design and maintain consistent visual identities for the agency and its clients, including logos, color palettes, and typography.
  • Marketing Collateral: Create print and digital materials such as brochures, flyers, banners, and ads that align with brand strategy and messaging.
  • Digital Design: Design engaging graphics for websites, social media, email templates, and multimedia presentations.
  • Event Design: Develop event-specific visuals including signage, programs, activations, and promotional items.
  • Visual Communication: Translate complex concepts into accessible visuals like infographics, charts, and diagrams.
  • Client Collaboration: Participate in discovery sessions, present design concepts, and incorporate feedback to meet client goals.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring high quality under tight deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices to ensure fresh, relevant creative work.
  • Production Coordination: Prepare designs for print and fabrication, working with vendors to ensure quality execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to create a range of design deliverables across print, digital, and event formats.
  • Experience translating complex ideas into clear, engaging visual formats.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A well-rounded portfolio demonstrating design range and execution.
  • Ability to adapt designs based on client feedback and evolving project needs.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in illustration, photography, or activation design.
  • Familiarity with WordPress and web design principles.
  • Understanding of motion graphics, animation, or interest in learning.
  • Ability to conduct and apply market research to design solutions.
  • Experience working directly with clients or in agency settings.
  • Interest in continuing education and staying current with design trends and tools.


Work Location & Schedule:

  • This role is in-person, with a typical schedule of Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM, unless otherwise required by the supervisor to complete necessary job functions.
  • Travel requirements: infrequent.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $60,000 - 70,000 (commensurate with experience and location).
