Job Description

We are seeking a talented, motivated Freelance Graphic Designer to collaborate with our creative team. In this part-time contractor role, you will conceptualize and execute visual designs, collaborate with copywriters and the Creative Manager to align imagery with messaging, and deliver assets for digital campaigns, websites, and print collateral. This role requires a highly creative and imaginative individual who can operate within the framework of our style and brand guidelines to produce original and engaging visual content and has the ability to integrate AI into design solutions. Our ideal candidate has a strong portfolio of successful design work, a bachelor's degree in graphic design, and comprehensive, expert-level knowledge of Adobe Suite and related design software.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Meets with Creative Manager to determine the scope of a project
  • Designs and delivers a wide array of marketing materials to support Company initiatives, including graphics, advertising, collateral, email campaigns, social media content, presentations, infographics, tradeshow assets, event materials (digital and in-person), reports, publications, videos, and research briefs across digital and print.
  • Demonstrates understanding of emerging innovations in AI-driven graphic design, with hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance creative projects.
  • Designs layouts and selects colors, images, and typefaces to use.
  • Incorporates changes recommended by stakeholders and management into final designs.
  • Reviews designs for errors before printing or publishing them.
  • Manages multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Attends 1-2 meetings per week.
  • Commits to continuous growth by staying informed on the latest design innovations and emerging technologies.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Expert across Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Canva and ability to use AI features within these applications;
  • Excellent ability to understand graphic needs and effectively convey design choices and solutions as well as receive feedback;
  • Proficient in leveraging AI-powered design tools for tasks such as image retouching, content-aware extension, layout optimization, and color correction;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a high volume, deadline-driven environment;
  • An AI enthusiast, with the ability to integrate the latest AI developments into their process, ensuring every stage of design aligns with both user needs and business goals;
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated;
  • Proven branding experience, ideally at consumer service/product level;
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word);
  • Proven graphic designing experience;
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of graphic design work; illustration experience is a plus;
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines; and
  • A degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is required.

This is a flexible, part-time (estimated 25 hours/week) remote freelance position. Incumbent is expected to meet with the creative team 1-2 times per week during business hours, 8:15 am to 5:00 pm EST.
