Job Description

TNP is looking for a Human Resources Intern to join our dedicated HR team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR practices and principles, supporting various functions within the department. As a Human Resources Intern, you will assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and administrative tasks, while gaining a better understanding of the role HR plays in an engineering consulting environment

Responsibilities

Responsibilities require actively assisting Human Resource staff in the planning and production of daily HR functions.
Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the onboarding process of new employees, including orientation and paperwork
  • Participate in the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and events
  • Assist HR Generalist with the Intern Program, including events, orientation, and documentation
  • Assist with Learning & Development training, recording and uploading content to our learning management system
  • Assist in preparing HR-related documents and reports
  • Provide administrative support, including answering HR-related queries and managing HR correspondence
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Certification

  • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Previous internship or coursework in Human Resources is a plus

Professional

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Experience or Ability to learn Microsoft CoPilot
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative

Compensation

Compensation includes:

  • A competitive hourly wage, dependent on skills, qualifications, and experience
  • Overtime pay for additional hours worked in excess of 40 hours

Internship Duration:

We are excited to offer a flexible internship opportunity expected to last 10-12 weeks. This position allows for adjustable hours to accommodate your academic schedule. We are seeking a candidate who can begin working part-time around their school commitments before the end of May. After the academic term concludes, the intern will transition to a full-time role for the summer.
