Interior Designer

Cleveland, OH

Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Interior Designer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with the design team, sales team, and project managers to develop innovative and functional interior spaces. Responsibilities include space planning, furniture specification, and ensuring project designs meet client requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience at a design firm or dealership
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Construction, or Interior Architecture
  • Experience with commercial interior projects

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (Visual Impressions 2020 is a plus)
  • NCIDQ or PMP certification is a plus
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts for space planning and design calculations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in client meetings to understand project needs and requirements
  • Develop space plans, furniture layouts, and specifications, including as-built drawings, block plans, and test fits
  • Coordinate design plans with construction, electrical, and architectural drawings
  • Prepare presentation materials, including renderings and project specifications
  • Ensure all specifications are accurate and aligned with client expectations
  • Collaborate with installers and project management teams to oversee installation and execution
  • Track and document design hours for project costing and reporting
