Reports to: IT Customer Service &Operation Manager
Pay Range : $25.00-$32.00

The compensation range provided is in compliance with state-specific laws. Factors that may be used to determine your actual rate of pay include your specific skills, years of experience and other factors.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

Seeking Point-of-Sale Computer Field Technicians. Candidates should be self-starters with good computer hardware and customer service skills. Knowledge of POS equipment is a plus. Previous retail experience is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. This position requires flexible work hours with extensive travel in the assigned area. Candidates must provide their own transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance. Mileage reimbursement is included in the compensation package. Candidates will also be responsible for maintaining a small inventory of IT equipment parts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
• Tie workflow to schedule.
• Manage all on-site installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports.
• Document processes.
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner.
• Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols.
• Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization.
• Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Troubleshoot issues with our Point of Sale applications (ACS, ScanMaster & Maitre’D).
• Basic network troubleshooting.
• Able to use different network tools and software to diagnose issues.
• Basic understanding of PBX/VOIP systems.
• Basic virtual server troubleshooting.
• Scale calibration.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Decides to either set the time to service the site or to call the help desk and walk them through the problem.
• Must meet the service level agreement of the customer.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
• Always practice proper communication with the customer.
• Coordinates any issues or communications with the correct functionary or help desk.
• Once the tech is on-site and has analyzed the problem; he or she repairs, replaces, and/or services the computer part or machine.
• Manages own stocking level of parts and escalates to the inventory person in the area if any part needs to get to a critical level.
• Must be able to work flexible hours based on call volume in the area.
• Scale certification (We paid for certification).
• A+ certification preferred.

Required Education and Experience:

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a non-exempt level position, must be able to work weekends as needed.

They offered specialty and traditional items customers couldn’t find anywhere else: cut-to-order Latin-style meats (ranchera, diesmillo, lomo de res), spices, fresh fruit and produce, delicious prepared foods, pan dulce made daily, plus everything else you would expect from a traditional grocery store. Fast forward to today where Vallarta has expanded its offerings to include a juice and aquas frescas bar, tortilleria, bakery (panaderia), a cevicheria and more.
