We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** ABSMC-Ashby Campus **Position Overview:** - The Lactation Consultant is responsible for providing lactation consultation and education for breastfeeding mothers at Alta Bates Medical Center regardless of age, race, religion, ability, and economic or social status. - The Lactation Consultant has excellent assessment and implementation skills to assist the breastfeeding mother attain her individual goals. **Job Description** : **EDUCATION** Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE** RN-Registered Nurse of California Required CLE-Certified Lactation Educator upon hire Required IBLCE-International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, within 2 years of employment Required BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Required **EXPERIENCE** Minimum of two years experience in perinatal nursing or perinatal education. Minimum two years experience counseling breastfeeding women. Pay Range is $82.95 to $109.48 / hour _The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
