Landscape Designer  
Gardens of Babylon -  Nashville, TN  
$35,000 - $50,000 a year

Gardens of Babylon, Nashville's largest family owned garden center and landscape design build firm specializing in natural products and services is looking for the following dynamic team member:

Landscape Designer

Perform a wide variety of landscape designs related to residential and commercial properties. All duties will be performed based on professional training and experience, with minimal supervision and with a focus on sustainable techniques and plants.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Site Measurements, designing & estimating
  • Working with 3D illustrator to oversee the completion of the 3D flythrough
  • Complete production notes for accurate installation
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel and be willing to learn a new estimating software package
  • Work with clients to determine the final selection of hardscape materials for the project
  • Follow-up with the client to keep them informed of the progress
  • Identify client's objections and ensure we answer all concerns
  • Compile all items needed for a sales presentation
  • When needed, provide detailed estimate using our software
  • Provide detailed job description and scope of work
  • Finalize Production Notes on the job
  • Visit site when needed to ensure proper installation of the landscape
  • Work with Operations Manager to ensure project success
  • Answer clients questions during the landscape installation process

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Have a B.S. Degree in architectural design or similar field
  • Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in landscape design
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the use of Auto-Cad
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs and be fit and healthy to perform required duties
