St. Roch Market - Lead Bartender Needed

St. Roch Market, a vibrant culinary hub in New Orleans, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Bartender to join our team. As the Lead Bartender at St. Roch Market, you will have the opportunity to showcase your talent by leading the bar team, placing/receiving orders, and working with ownership to create a fun, approachable cocktail menu/scene.. We are looking for talented bartender that wants to continue or start their bar management career.

Main Responsibilities of the Lead Bartender:

• Maintaining the bar workspace = cleanliness, organization, maintenance
• Training bartending team
• Working with purveyors to improve costs, bring in new products, and ensure product is in stock
• Lead the bar team by setting an example and establishing standards
• Not be an ass to work with

Responsibilities:

• Taking orders and serving drinks and snacks to bar customers
• Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Mixing classic and innovative cocktails
• Communicating with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Nurturing customers to provide an exceptional guest experience
• Making menu recommendations based on customers' needs and preferences
• Keeping the bar clean, stocked, and well-organized
• Checking customers' IDs to ensure they meet the legal drinking age
• Remaining sober throughout the shift

Requirements:

• Experience as a bartender
• Knowledge of preparing and mixing beverages
• A bartending certificate is a plus
• Basic computer and math skills
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Professional and positive disposition
• Ability to keep the bar clean, stocked, and well-organized
• Flexibility and willingness to work in shifts
• Lack of arrogance, narcissism, and manic behavior
