Salary: 89,700 - 162,150 USD per year Requirements:

• I hold a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience; I understand that additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• I am proficient with enterprise-class server-based services such as directory services, collaboration tools, monitoring tools, virtual infrastructure, and Linux.
• I possess a DoD IAT Level II (Security+) certification or an equivalent credential.
• I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and I am able to work effectively as part of a team.
• I have a strong working knowledge of Unix system fundamentals and common network protocols.
• I possess experience managing Linux/UNIX operating systems in a diverse environment.
• I have a solid understanding of networked computing environment concepts.
• I have experience with Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities:

• I will leverage my base OS Linux Admin experience, particularly in Storage and Networking Fundamentals.
• I will utilize my experience with RedHat Satellite Servers and building custom packages for RHEL/CentOS using RPM.
• I will demonstrate my proficiency with Ansible and VMWare operations.
• I will integrate Linux with Active Directory and engage in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers in a Linux environment.
• I will monitor the health of the Linux servers using both automated and manual processes.
• I will perform server hardware maintenance and security upgrades.
• I will maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and programs.
• I will forecast backend infrastructure needs resulting from the migration of over 20 agencies into a unified architecture.
• I will design solutions, integrate, configure, test, and deploy various types of server-based applications based on Linux and VMware operating systems.
• I will conduct data captures to obtain computing performance and system configuration information.

I am part of the Defense Enclave Services (DES) team at Ft. Meade, MD. This program will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities' common use information technology systems, personnel, functions, and program elements under the guidance of DISA’s Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office. My role is critical to the overall operational and end-user experience (UX), as automation capabilities affect users across the global enterprise. I must hold an active Secret clearance prior to starting this role, and I understand that I am a key contributor to the success of our operations.

The anticipated pay range for this position is between $89,700.00 and $162,150.00. Leidos informs me that this pay range serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation. Various factors, such as job responsibilities, educational background, experience, and internal equity, will influence my compensation offer.
