Job Description
Main Function - Act as Liaison between PNY and shipping carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure accurate, timely and cost-effective delivery, and resolve any issues that may arise before it becomes an issue.
Qualifications - Must be a team player
- College Degree Preferred
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a shipping environment; scheduling carriers and reporting shipping data
- Proficient with Word and Excel
- Good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
- Detail orientated
- Ability to multitask, in a fast-paced environment
- Follow written & verbal instructions

Duties And Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Produce weekly and monthly transportation reports including on time and in full statistics
- Analyze reports and provide recommendations and feedback as to where the department can improve on cost
- Provide routing instructions, as necessary, to customers and vendors
- Process all claims and billing verifications, and resolve any issues
- Efficiently and timely handle internal/external common carriers, FTL and LTL and Parcel carriers inquiries
- Monitor all outbound and inbound shipments
- Review daily outbound shipments to ensure proper carrier selections for delivery in the customers delivery window
- Ensure compliance with Logistics Director and or Supervisor
- Produce, analyze and maintain shipping data to ensure compliance with department goals and targets
- Working with our 3PL warehouses to receive in and maintain inventory
- Routing of Domestic shipments
- Routing of International shipments
- Preparing export / import documentation
- Maintain accurate records including POD (proof of delivery) archive files on all domestic transportation shipments, helping the accounting department in providing PODs to customers for payment
- Interact with various business units to research traffic/logistics requirements and develop plans as needed
- Resolve shipping discrepancies by working with carriers, customers and PNY staff
- Assist in securing customer delivery appointments as required
- Assist in training warehouse, sales and purchasing personnel on shipping document generation
- Filing loss / damage claims with carriers
- Prepare outbound domestic bills of lading and other required documentation
- Assist in monitoring outside 3PL warehouses
- Assist in other areas, as assigned
