Job Description

**A Snapshot of Your Day(position overview)** A machinist's day typically begins with reviewing blueprints and specifications to understand the requirements for the parts they will be creating. They then set up and operate various machines, such as lathes and milling machines, to fabricate components, ensuring precision and quality throughout the process. Throughout the day, they may also conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with team members to meet production goals. **How You'll Make anImpact (responsibilities)** + Set up and operate advanced machines includinghorizontal and vertical milling machines, CNC milling machines and speedmills according to the instructions or work packages. + Check machined dimensions using variousprecision measurement tools to verify tolerances, dimensions and toperform first article inspections on parts. + Set up and program parts utilizing "G" Code to writemachining programs for a specific part. + Requiresthe use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to thesequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations ofrecognized or standard methods and procedures. **What You Bring(requirements)** + AAS or Machine Tool Technology certificate and/orequivalent machining experience + Proficient in reading blueprints. + Proficient in shop mathematics + Proven experience operating horizontal and verticalmilling machines, CNC Milling machines and speed mills + Applicants must be legallyauthorized for employment in the United States without need for current orfuture employer-sponsored work authorization.
