Job Description

Seeking a Machinist for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Southbridge, MA.

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k! 

Pay is between $25 - $30 per hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Respond to job orders promptly and accurately.
• Machine and fabricate precision parts according to specifications.
• Set up and operate grinders, lathes, milling machines, and other equipment.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy using measuring instruments and visual inspection techniques.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering staff and other team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications:

• Trade school or equivalent technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with both CNC and manual machines.
• Proficient in using measuring tools such as dial calipers and micrometers.
• Experience with Prototrak preferred.
• Fabricating and welding experience a plus.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Strong critical thinking and adaptability to evolving technology and processes.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Effective communicator with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Competent in safely operating hand and power tools.
• Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and conversation).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including stooping and bending.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Strong manual dexterity for precise work.
