Role Summary

You will be working in depth with our Electronics Design teams to drive and improve hardware reliability, setting the benchmark for each generation of hardware. You will help lead efforst to idenfity, analyze, and mitigate risks associated with failure modes, employing techniques like NUDD, FMEA, Root cause analysis, and help define reliability testing plans. This role involves collaborating with a host of cross functional teams to enhance product design, improve manufacturing processes, and ensure we drive to the highest reliability standards for the class.

Responsibilities

Lead and define reliability testing requirements, analysis, and assessments to ensure product or system robustness.

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for failures in design, manufacturing, or field performance.

Develop and optimize reliability models, including FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD).

Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to incorporate reliability standards and improvements into product development.

Drive predictive maintenance and risk mitigation strategies to minimize downtime and operational risks.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members on reliability engineering best practices.

Lead cross-functional teams in failure investigations and reliability improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

MS (PhD Preferred) in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

10+ years of experience in reliability engineering, including hands on experience with analysis, testing and failure investigations

Expertise in reliability methodologies such as FMEA, FTA, Reliability Block Diagrams, and statistical analysis tools.

Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving reliability-focused initiatives.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to apply root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range CA-Based Applicants: $213,000-$266,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, and other factors permitted by law).
