In this pivotal role, you'll be the first point of contact for our patients, providing them with a warm greeting and ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk in. You will play an essential role in maintaining the smooth operation of our practice, helping to create a positive experience for everyone who visits. Your exceptional communication skills will shine as you answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries with grace and efficiency. Hours and Location:
  • Weekdays M - F 
  • 8 Hour Days
  • As Early As 7:15 AM
  • As Late As 5:30 PM

Clinic Locations:

  • Austin - 50%: 1106 Clayton Lane, Austin TX 78723
  • Leander - 50%: 2701 S Hwy 183, Leander TX 78641

Essential Functions:

  • Greet patients warmly and guide them through the check-in and check-out process.
  • Comfort patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering patient questions.
  • Notify Medical Assistants of patient arrivals.
  • Process patient payments and handle billing inquiries effectively.
  • Assist in coordinating communication between medical staff and patients to facilitate care.
  • Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.
  • Update patient records.
  • Verify financial records and collecting patient co-pays and charges while filing and expediting claims.
  • Verify insurance benefits and add benefits to EMR.
  • Schedule patient comprehensive physical screenings by determining available appointment openings.
  • Reschedule canceled and no-show appointments.
  • Responsible for collecting patient insurance information for verification purposes.
  • Responsible for entering data into various electronic systems, as well as maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary materials.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain professional conduct and appearance in workplace settings.
  • Complete other assigned duties as directed.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit or stand.

Education and Experience:

  • Computer Proficient – Advanced.
  • Customer Service – 2 years.
  • Ambitious outgoing personality. 
  • Communication Skills: Genuine, clear, unreserved, persuasive.
  • Sense of urgency and problem-solving skills
  • EMR Systems. Preferably e-ClinicalWorks.
  • A friendly smile and a passion for helping others.
  • POSITIVE, professional attitude and code of conduct.
  • Medical Assistant Experience a plus; experience rooming patients, taking vitals, recording vitals and medical history, assessing and documenting patients’ needs.


Bonus:

  • $2 per each patient scheduled with successful completion of Advanced Physicals program.
