The responsibilities of MLT/MT include (but are not limited to):Use established lab protocol to perform laboratory tests and correctly log the results of those testsDetermine specimen validity in a timely mannerInform clients of recollection protocols if a specimen is rejectedIdentify, diagnose and repair issues that may arise with the laboratory equipmentVerify all test results and ensure that they are correctly matched with the specimenLabel and organize all tests appropriately to make sure that they are easily retrievableQualifications:Medical Technologist - MLT / MT Degree from an Accredited UniversityASCP Certification requiredKnowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and quality control methodsHospital or Clinical experienceFamiliarity with laboratory information systems and computer technology
