Mining Engineer

Location: Tijeras NM

Industry: Manufacturing/Mining (Aggregates MFG Company)

Base Salary: $85k-$95k+ (Depending on experience)

Bonus: Yes - 10%

Relocation: Yes - $10k

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the extraction of minerals from the earth, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations while contributing to project planning and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement mining plans and processes to optimize resource recovery.
• Conduct feasibility studies and assess the economic viability of mining projects.
• Utilize AutoCAD to create detailed mining layouts and designs.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, including MSHA standards.
• Collaborate with geologists and other engineers to evaluate raw materials and geological data.
• Manage project submittals and documentation to maintain compliance with legal and industry standards.
• Monitor operations and provide technical support to ensure safety and efficiency in mining activities.
• Lead risk assessment processes and implement safety measures to protect workers and equipment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mining operations or engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
• Strong understanding of mining processes, materials, and regulations.
• Experience with submittals and compliance documentation is preferred.
• Knowledge of Carlson software and experience with geological assessments is a plus.
• Familiarity with aggregates, quarry operations, and safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
