PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER II/NORTH COAST REDWOODS/REDWOOD COAST/PRAIRIE CREEK REDWOODS STATE PARK
This classification is subject to the Post and Bid process. Applications from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement, re-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement BU12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post & Bid process does not result in a hire.
Under the direction of the Park Maintenance Supervisor, the Park Maintenance Worker II performs miscellaneous semiskilled and skilled work involved in the structural, facilities and systems maintenance function of the California State Parks. The essential job functions of this position include facilities maintenance, equipment operations / maintenance, lead person and supervise crews, resource protection, housekeeping and administrative within the North Coast Redwoods District.
The reporting location is the Roads, Trails, and Resources office at Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. This position will maintain historic and non-historic facilities throughout the area, which include, but are not limited to: buildings, structures, grounds, roads, parking lots, campgrounds, day use areas, trails and systems. This position may be required to respond on a notice to emergencies requiring outside agency crew coordination and supervision. Spike camping could be required.
The incumbent’s work schedule will be 07:00AM to 05:30PM from Monday to Thursday.
