About Us: Center Point DAAC is excited to announce the successful opening of its new residential facility, Dr. Sushma D. Taylor Recovery Center (SDTRC), a 40-bed residential male facility and 10-bed medical detox unit providing comprehensive substance abuse treatment services.

Job Title: Part-time Weekend Cook

Department: Dr. Sushma D. Taylor Recovery Center (SDTRC)

Location: 790 Sonoma Ave, Santa Rosa, CA

Schedule: Part-time, weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), 8 hours shifts (7am-3:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break). Occasional weekday shifts may be required to support chef coverage needs.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, certified, and experienced Part-time Weekend Cook to join our culinary team at the Dr. Sushma D. Taylor Recovery Center. Under the supervision of the Director and Week Chef, the Part-time Weekend Cook will prepare nutritious meals for our residential clients, ensuring adherence to dietary requirements and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.

Essential Duties:

• Prepare meals for approximately 50 residents and staff.
• Prepare modified diet items as needed.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, equipment, and dining area.
• Assist in daily clean-up and weekly deep cleaning activities.
• Collaborate with the Director and Week Chef to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Help prepare breakfast, lunch, and leave dinner ready for the residents.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in food service or related field.
• Must possess valid culinary or food safety certifications (e.g., CFPP, CFSM, CEC, CC, ServSafe).
• Knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Physical/Mental Requirements:
• Ability to maintain a clear, understandable speaking voice.
• Accurate and clear vision and hearing.
• Ability to remain standing for extended periods.
• Sufficient digital manipulation skills to utilize a computer keyboard.
• Ability to function effectively in a busy working environment.
