We are seeking a creative and dedicated Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to produce high-quality pastries and desserts. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, following recipes to the letter, and ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
Responsibilities - Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, breads, and desserts following standardized recipes and quality guidelines.
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all baked goods.
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Organize prep work efficiently to ensure a smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Work closely with the pastry chef and kitchen team to coordinate production and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding orders, schedules, and special requests.
- Operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, and pastry tools.
- Follow proper usage and safety procedures for all baking equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and report shortages to the pastry chef or supervisor.
- Assist in receiving and properly storing deliveries to maintain freshness FIFO.
Qualifications - At least 2 years of kitchen experience in pastry
- Ability to assemble and decorate cakes, tarts, truffles, cookies, etc.
- Ability to provide quality service in pastry production in accordance with guided specifications while paying detailed attention to color, taste, texture, portion size and overall appearance
- Ability to maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
- Must have good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for at least 8 hours

Rate: $19.00/hour
