Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist (3-Month Contract)
*Can be fully remote!

Employment Type: Contract (3 months)

A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & AP Specialist for a 3-month contract to assist with special accounting projects. 

Responsibilities

• Reach out to state and local authorities to obtain necessary tax and unemployment ID numbers.
• Review and verify vendor records to ensure proper 1099 categorization for 2025 tax purposes.
• Assist in refining accounts payable records to accurately reflect supplier payment statuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Experience obtaining tax IDs from municipalities is a plus.
• Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes and vendor data management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
