• Service Setting: Outpatient Clinic with Inpatient Call Coverage
• Coverage Type: Clinic Hours + Call
• Coverage Period: Start Date: 04/14/2025 | Duration: 26 weeks
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-Call Shift Schedule: 7–14 days per month, 24-hour call coverage (inpatient consults and urgent outpatient questions)
• Call Type: Beeper
• Call Response Time: Immediate (as per facility need)
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents (Birth – 21 years)
• Patient Volume/Census: 10–12 patients/day, mix of new and follow-ups
• Case Mix: Adrenal gland conditions, Diabetes, Early or delayed puberty, Growth problems, Lipid disorders, Low blood sugar, Menstrual disorders, Obesity, Pituitary gland conditions, Thyroid gland conditions, Vitamin D deficiency

• Facility Type: Children's Specialty Center
• EMR System: Epic
• Support Staff Available: RNs, CMAs, one full-time physician, one part-time physician, and an NP
• Specialty Backup Available: Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Genetics, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Pediatric Pulmonology, Pediatric Complex Care Clinic, after NICU care, and Pediatric Development and Behavior
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental

• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days

• Provider will manage a range of pediatric endocrine conditions and provide consultations for both new and follow-up patients
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active North Carolina License
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology
• DEA: Required
• Certifications: PALS preferred
• Experience: Flexible; new providers considered based on qualifications
• Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct outpatient consultations and follow-ups during clinic hours
• Provide inpatient consultations and address urgent outpatient queries during on-call shifts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary specialties within the facility
• Ensure seamless patient management adhering to Cone Health standards
