OUR INTERN PROGRAM:

Are you looking for a summer internship that goes beyond busy work and truly impacts team members, the company, and the community? At Peoples Gas, we’re offering an exciting Human Resources Internship where you’ll gain real-world experience in onboarding, employee engagement, community outreach, and corporate events—all while working alongside a passionate and supportive team.​

 

This program is scheduled to run from May 19, 2025-July 25, 2025. 

 

HOW YOU’LL HELP DRIVE THE FUTURE OF NATURAL GAS:

  • Shape the New Employee Experience – Help build our onboarding process, ensure a smooth Performance Coach process, work with our marketing and communications team on onboarding videos, and research fun swag bag items for our newest team members. You’ll even play a key role in designing our Newcomer’s Class to set new hires up for success.​

  • Support Our Move to Midtown – Be part of the welcoming committee that ensures our transition to the new space is seamless and engaging for all team members.​

  • Create a Community & School Resource Kit – Research and build toolkits for career fairs and workshops that showcase Peoples Gas as an employer of choice. You'll gain hands-on experience in branding, outreach, and logistics planning.​

  • Analyze & Present Employee Engagement Data – Get hands-on with real team member survey data! You'll create charts and insights to help leadership make strategic talent decisions, especially in learning and development planning for 2026.​

  • This is not your average internship—you’ll gain valuable HR, communications, and data analysis skills while working on projects that make a real impact.​

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Ability to commit to the ten (10) week program. No time off or missed days. 
  • Currently enrolled in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an undergraduate program, or a graduate program, at an ABET-accredited university or college. 
  • Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
