About the Opportunity

The Product Business Management Internship is an opportunity to support the supply and demand alignment of fresh berries, through alignment with Driscoll’s customers and berry growers. The Product Business Intern will be an active participant within the teams that bring strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries to market; ensuring fruit supplies are effectively managed and sold in a manner that provides optimal service to our customers while generating profitable returns. Activities will include supporting daily execution of the business through communication and coordination with the Sales, Supply Chain, Production, and Growers. This may include berry business score carding, reporting and metric development, as well as process and platform development and launch. This on-site internship in Watsonville, CA, runs from April to August, with some flexibility in timing.

Responsibilities

•    Support Product Business Managers on execution of weekly supply and demand alignment.  
•    Collect and report daily and weekly commodity pricing to internal and external stakeholders. 
•    Provide scorecards, reporting, and analysis related to price and volume of all sales products. 
•    Support standardization of sales and grower reports for the PBM team. 
•    Complete and present capstone project and related to the berry business. 
•    Leverage Tableau, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Anaplan tools. 
•    Communicate cross functionally to sales, supply chain, and production teams. 
•    Collect meeting notes and communicate next steps on internal projects. 
•    Job shadow across departments to gain a deeper understanding of the berry business. 
•    Represent Driscoll's in an ethical and business-like manner in all interactions with growers, co-workers, suppliers, customers, and the business community at large.
