POSITION OVERVIEW

We are adding a Project Closeout Analyst to our Kiewit Business Services to support various districts/divisions within Kiewit. In this role, you will be responsible for reconciling and resolving open vendor balances with Kiewit's subcontract vendors. You can expect to assist in the coordination of the closeout of subcontracts on projects nearing completion, ensuring that all necessary documentation has been tracked through completion, invoices have been paid and subcontractor purchase orders are reconciled and closed out properly in our SAP system. This position is part of the KBS Accounts Payable department within the Financial Services group. DISTRICT OVERVIEW

Kiewit Business Services (KBS) is a cross-functional shared service organization that provides the business units with customer-specific services focused on cost and business value. Our services include non-core, yet essential, functions of our businesses including accounts payable, accounts receivable, change control, human capital management, payroll, project initiation, compliance, and continuous improvement.

LOCATION

This position is currently based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street but will be moving to our new location at 7700 Eastpoint Parkway, La Vista, NE by mid 2024. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review subcontractor files within SAP to ensure materials, goods and services have been received/performed, payments and invoices are complete. Generate subcontract closeout documents.
  • Run project closeout reports and reconcile accounts. Track, manage & close out Purchase Orders.
  • Collaborate with various teams and follow through to resolution.
  • Execute kick-off calls with and training the project on the closeout process.
  • Closing POs.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers; understand Kiewit's core business and promote a sense of urgency toward business-critical issues.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvement; collaborate with internal and external partners to increase efficiencies in the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • General accounting experience and reconciliation experience in an office/corporate setting is required
  • 3 years or more of accounts payable experience preferred
  • Highschool, or GED required. Associated degree in Accounting, Business or related field preferred
  • Savvy with computers and experience in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • SAP experience preferred or experience working with data/purchase orders in a similar system
  • Able to demonstrate strong analytical, math and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; clearly conveys messages and ideas, gains understanding; generates interest and holds attention, listens, and is open to the ideas of others.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed; initiative and a sense of urgency to get things done.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies; ability to spot and anticipate problems and seek solutions.
